How to Host Website for Idyll Browser?

A registered uNS name is needed to setup uNS packet forwarding. If you do not already own a uNS record, please see How to register uNS record?.

How to Setup Packet Forwarding for Clearnet Site?

Register same uNS name as your website domain name. Now visit the “Tools” menu > “uNS Manager” > “Packet Forwarding” > “Add“.

  1. In the first field select the uNS record to configure uNS packet forwarding.
  2. Enter port number 80 for uNS.
  3. In the second field enter the IP address of website server. Find your website IP address
  4. Enter the port number 80.
  5. Check the option “Immediately start packet forwarding after creation“.
  6. To complete uNS packet forwarding setup, click “Create“.

Now again click on “Add” and follow steps above (select same uNS record) but instead of Port 80, Enter Port 443.

Website host successfully (Make sure that your domain name and uNS name is same)

How to Host Website in Localhost and Configure for Idyll Browser?

Download Xampp Server and Install.

Now Open Xampp Control Panel and Click on Config in Apache Module > Click on “Apache (httpd.conf)“

Now here you can Open Port. To open Port, Write this on Top: Listen 8001

If you want to Open more Port than Simply add more in next line like: Listen 8002

You can Open Port as many Website you want to Host.

Now on location “C:\xampp\apache\conf\extra” Open “httpd-vhosts.conf” file in Text Editor. On this at bottom, Setup like this:

<VirtualHost *:8001>
 DocumentRoot c:/xampp/htdocs/idyll
</VirtualHost>

Instead of 8001, Enter your Port Number. In DocumentRoot – Your website file location there.

Like this you can add multiple VirtualHost in next line.

Now Open Xampp Control Panel and Start Apache Module. You can also start MySQL module if your website require.

Now on Location “C:\xampp\htdocs” Create new folder of your website name and under that folder set your website.

Now visit the “Tools” menu > “uNS Manager” > “Packet Forwarding” > “Add“.

  1. In the first field select the uNS record to configure uNS packet forwarding.
  2. Enter port number 80 for uNS.
  3. In the second field enter the IP address 127.0.0.1
  4. Enter the port number next to your local IP field. Here Port number which you have added in Xampp Control Panel in “Apache (httpd.conf)“
  5. Check the option “Immediately start packet forwarding after creation“.
  6. To complete uNS packet forwarding setup, click “Create“.

Website host successfully! You can host multiple website by following above steps.
